I think I am going to send my $$ away to Italy today for this scanner.
According to all my info and sources...this is the ONE!
It will be here before Lab Day East 2012 (March 31st.)
Then, maybe we go up to NY? (Italian scanner people, Luigi from CIMSystems, other ?)
I think Bars and complex Implant stuff will be sent to me with a wide range of articulators. This scanner will be able to work with anything now and into the future. Chamber size is non-factor.
Also, a new 5-axis Haas OM2a will probably be seen around my lab soon. I think I have what it takes to assemble this package now. Took me years to get here. We had fun playing with KaVo making up Titanium milling strategys without breaking anything, now time to apply that to something.
I am going to Haas
er in N.C. this week to check it out for the 3rd time! LOL
12,000mm/minute cutting speeds, and much faster rapids! That is 4-8x faster than my KaVo and Lava mills!
3sec tool changes for the Haas. Lava mill takes almost a minute? At least 30sec.
It may not sound like much at first, but it all adds up!
I believe Glidewell has a bunch of these and the Haas Mini-mills.
I have a tough time finding the people who helped Jim put those together.
I had a phone number, but lost it.
