the preparations. we cried and cried and cried.






these were pics of a case about a month ago/ we did a big implant framework to veneer with porcelain, in two pieces. Left side and right side. screw retained framework. it didn't fit, apparently, so the doctor took a new impression. bull-freaking-honkly.





the ever famous 4 for 1. this case has 3 preps. the best of the 4 is the triple tray for margins. the bite is another story altogether. ill have to beat this "doctor" to death with his own shoes.

Here is a face palm case from the other side of the fence.

My aunt just got a chrome made up. I thinkits a china job.
I don't know the first thing about acrylic or dentures but I know this just isn't right.

Im reluctant to post this case because its one of those hellish nightmares I try to forget.. but keep the pictures just so I learn my lesson.. The first implant roundhouse I lost my virginity to.. wow the things you learn your first time ..

The other is the infamous quadrant bridge, with a triple tray.. One lonely adjacent tooth..

Dr wants 2 FCZ on the lower 1st and 2nd bi's. Well we get Mr. Tiny impression guy to send this in and this is what we have to work with. Funny part is we just got a new staff member and we got the impression in and we just laughed and cried and joked around and the new guy chimes in and says you know that Dr.------- is my brother, Lol whoops!!!! Oh well he agreed with what we said though. The story of my life man always caught red handed! :thumpdown:

i wouldn't wish my worst enemy to work here.

things are so farked up: we had two office staff, one of whom was also a courier. we have 3 total drivers for the city, the rest is Puro and fedex. we cater to all of southern ontario, a total of about 500 clients, 20% of which would send work on any given week.

anyway, last month one of the office staff quit. can you guess which one? correct!! the one that was also a courier.

so they put ME on the road. my co-worker in the CADCAM room now is servicing all the CADCAM herself. I am now doing full time courier service and office admin, and then on days like today, about half the staff left early (due to lack of work),and without asking me they handed over all the model pouring room for my 5pm-6pm hour when we close. so i get 1 hr to pour pin cut and trim all the work for tomorrow.

and i'm here posting while sh1t's drying. its also 6:35 pm. good old overtime. good thing this company doesnt pay it out unless you work over 80 hrs in 2 weeks or i might actually be costing the company money.

oh, and i inquired how many resume's we were getting to fill the courier slot - was a dumb question.

tyler, why not do this case straight in the scanner, with the impression scan software. this is just about perfect for this kind of case. nice impression for it, no big overhangs. no crazy margins. easily scannable colour.

Even though we are so dependent on CAD/CAM we still like to have stuff mounted and scanned in the traditional way. We don't quite trust the impression scanning yet.
