For those of you who have experience with 3M's Lava Scan (1st generation) scanner and software, I have a few questions:
1. Can it scan full arch models and multiple dies?
2. Can it be used to design bridges as well as single unit restorations?
3. Can the output be converted to stl format for sending to other mills?
4. Can you scan full contour waxups or preop models and use that to easily design cutback frameworks?
5. Does it produce decent scans?
6. I'm trying to find literature on that specific scanner, but am not having much luck. Any links to that info?
7. Can you scan a bite registration or opposing model and use this for virtual occlusion?
Thanks for any help.
