Any suggestions on shrink-free wax ( if there is any ) I find it time consuming when waxing up a coping over titanium implant abutment, the wax when cooled keeps pulling away from margin, thank you in advance.
I use inlay wax and margin wax.

Over contour your wax on the margin , let it cool (and shrink) and after that carefully carve it with a lecron knife without heating it . Problem solved !

In use a nail dryer to warm up my implant abutment before waxing. Keeps the wax from drawing up;)

Let someone scan and design for you and get it milled or printed.

Try casting wax sheets or duralay

do you have an electric waxer?

Prior to scanning it was heating the abutment with hot air welder, on more complex cases we used Pikuplast, now we scan 99%

Yes, I use an electric waxer, I find it much better to use a waxing spatula with "No Flame Plus" heater.

I use the waxing instrument to heat the abutment, then flow the wax while still warm. This allows the wax to adapt to the metal before it cools. Trim with a warm instrument and its done.

I will try this procedure.

I use(well when I still waxed) red casting wax for margins. Only do the margins a few at a time then invest right away. This way they aren't sitting around and have time to shrink. But the red casting wax is good, little to no shrinking if invested right away.

Pikuplast is a type of duralay I believe. It's just a name brand of duraly.

Pi-Ku-Plast is Bredent's brand of duralay. We use it a lot, zero shrinkage and smooth when trimmed.

I was using GC before, IMO Pi-Ku is superior.

For resins I like to use is Primopattern LC. It's a light cured resin. Easy use flowable resin, and sets up just after a min or so under a light.
