What kind of tools do You recommend to hex finishing ?

First i use Torus D.15
After end mills with Impact Miracle coating for high hardness materials D-3 Number of Flute 6. (Mitsubishi)

Toolpaths like on pics - https://drive.google.com/folderview...JuX2Z6Ukx2VFpsUV80M1I5ZEdsZVNlX28&usp=sharing

But I'm not 100% satisfied with the quality of the surface, is not wrong but i know that can be better. This is the reason why I am here, can You help me?

(I hope that no one will tell me , "forget about it is I know how" :):) )

Yeah it be something like umm "I could tell you but I am still working on my Mill that will revolutionize all table top 5x mills"

Then he would say FDA does not tell him what to do.

and end with some crack about how he has donated more than anyone else to the site so STFU.

Yeah I miss him too :)

Did you talk with your reseller about it ? They should have some tips regarding your mill and cam combo...

I'd use a flat end finishing tool with a face milling cycle, engaging the whole length of the hexagon...

Speeds, Feeds, and tool size have a lot to do with surface finish. I'd talk

to your re-seller like @zero_zero said and let them know what you're looking

for with your finish so they can tailor strategies for you. If they can't do that for

you, then you need to look for new CAM software.
