I want to design a frame with a coping on #5, pontic #4 and an MO inlay on #3. It will be for PFZ except for the inlay. Im not having much luck. What do you select for the inlay? Grrr

What system are you running? I know for 3Shape we have do this we will select the framework and for the inlay we will select anatomy inlay/onlay. You have to make sure that the material files match or else it won't do it. Just create a material file for your inlay/onlay setting to match your framework setup and it should work no problems.

Yes, 3Shape. I defined the margin on it, but it proposes a wild spikey looking thing. didn't use any sealer of filler on the die so there are no reflections; there are quite a bit of undercuts...that shouldn't be messing it up though. (?)

lol...

and sometimes if it wont produce a proper inlay, and the inlay is very small, almost a rest seat, just select it as a coping framework and adjust the margin settings to almost minimal. then manually draw in your anatomy..
