Hello, It's been a while that I post here.

I was busy.. :p

This is a case that I did sep. 14th 2008.

My lab was evaluating 3 different type of pressable materials..

Initial IQ, E-Max Press, Pulse Interface...

Finally we dicided Initial IQ for press to Zirconia, Pulse interface for

press to metal.

Anyway, this case was my last E-max case before we dumped that

materials out =)

P9140317.JPG

Automatic devesting machine from whipmix accidently damaged all the margins and made hole.. I contoured cutback shape after press

P9140319.JPG

Internal Stains.. some white, vanila, purple, blue.. you name it :)

P9150326.JPG

Build up, contour, external stain and glaze.. sorry I did not take pictures of my build up procedures.. ;)

P9150327.JPG

Zoom~

P9160332.JPG

Anteriors were E-max press and posteriors were E-max Zirpress.. Press to Zirconia.. with only stains.. no build up.. neat huh? ;)

P9160333.JPG

Posterior's anatomy was from Gnathoplex premade wax mold from bredent. Sorry Russ.. I wish I could use your wax mold.. =P Next Time!

Lingual view..

Any comments and questions welcome.. Thanks! popcorn

I was wondering about that whipmix devesting machine.
Your post is not a good ad for me to buy it. What do you think about it?

Hi Al.. That Xcavater... is a good machine.. saves alot of time.. but someone messed that machin operation.. so it was accident.. =).. otherwise I liked that machine alot.

Thelabguy.. I liked e-max.. but it was a trial kit and I had very limited option to use
porcelain.. and some of my low-fusing internal stain didn't work well with emax's glaze
liquid.. and... the core was so hard to contour.. I like it's density but it's really hard to carve it.. that's why I did not take E max.. hope this reply helps.

Baker, can you put your ring in and walk away?
Do you have to be close buy to shut it off?
How long does it take to devest one ring?
Thank you for your response.

Al, It takes less than 5 min I think.. It's really fast. you can set it and

run the cycle and forget it.. =) And you can even put a ring without

cooling.. you can watch what's going on through shield.

hope this reply helps..

By the way.. it's not full upper arch.. I just figured out.. 8)

Hi Baker, very nice case.
I like the auto-divesting machine even it'll take longer than 5 minutes as long as it won't dig a hole into our porcelain teeth. I do not like divesting at all due to its messy and the tech have to concentrate not to make mistake. Don't you feel the same?
What die material you use in this case?
thanks

Clear, do you have the unit????
I just recieved my issue of JDT and they have it on their WOW list.
$2,500, I think Im going to order one today. I hate devesting pressed ceramic. It probably takes me 2 hrs a week.
If it works it would pay for it self in 6 months.

Hi Al, no I do not own one. Please post its benefit after you used the machine. I am waiting from your auto-devesting unit info.
thanks a lot

Opps.. ClearH20, I forgot to answer your question... Sorry for late reply.
The die material is resinrock from whipmix. =)

Hi Paul, i am guessing that is resin-rock by its texture and color. I want to switch my dies material. What is the most benefit when you use resin-rock?
thanks

my first impression after using resin-rock is it's density. I've been using fuji-rock
but that resin-rock had more density.. wear resistant.. and also after hardened it has some degree of water resistant. low 0.08 expension.. it's a good stuff.
