Does anyone have any .stl's (or other 3d mesh format) of a partially edentulous arch? What on earth for? well...I want to see how an RPD framework design goes in 3D. PM me

That would be phenominal. I spent a good deal of time rewriting this awesome tool that a Blender dev wrote back when the API was still changing and then it kind of got orphaned (he stopped updating it so it was broken). Now that Blender 2.57 is out and should be relatively stable for 1-2? years, I figured the time investment would be worth it (plus, I always learn something reading other's code). Try to imagine drawing clasps and approach arms instead of a monster head (which Blender artists seem to loooove to draw/sculpt).

Neat models, it'll be great to see the progress of this. A bit like time-lapse photography where we can see how a flower grows for example. Are you planning to do a picture board story of the development ? like a comic ?

Since last Autumn it's been very possible - and saves duplicating the model for casting
