Hope the bite is better than the placement. That case would be much better off making a splint,

Ti custom abutments and splinted crowns?

They are sub periostal and blade implants. I made a few of these back in the 80's.

Dr would peel back the tissue and take an impression of the mandible. We then would wax and cast the frame like a cast partial.

Not too successful but they were rumoured to be the inspiration behind the Saw movie franchise.

These are more like the blade implants I'm familiar with.

Those are for pre drilled slots.
The ones I worked on had the guillotine edge in case the hole wasn't big enough.
You can see the pic you posted had those for the soft mx bone.The trick was to whack them hard enough without hitting your thumb.

I think this was when sleep dentistry was just taking off.;)

Yeah they'd hit the patient over the head with the first whack and the second whack was for the implant.
