Hi Ryan,

Welcome to the site. While your prolific posting on dentaltown and other sites may indicate your passion, your obvious desire to improve is what keeps me reading your posts. Like others I have smiled quite a few times when I see your pictures but I have refrained from popping as it would be a shame to stifle your enthusiasm.

Realize that there is a certain type of tech that will always have a chip on their shoulder when he/she encounters a Dentist that chooses to do his own labwork. Of course this same tech no matter his ability or target market will ever admit that a Dentist could ever produce an appliance similar to a dedicated lab. I for one know this is not the case, I also know that its admirable that you post your beginning cases on DT for all to see. Partly I know its because your new and excited but I also know that if your skin is a bit tough, and you are open to constructive criticism you will definitely improve your craft.

BTW do you refer out fixed cases? I have not seen anything related to crown & bridge as it relates to your office. posted on DT.

Welcome to DLN.

No, but you might be able to get a prescription for that. :D

Do you hear dogs talking, too? That would be a whole different problem...might want to see a specialist.

LOL. Nice.

John - I'm not sure where you all got the idea, but I really don't do my own lab work. I have no desire to physically make my dentures, I enjoy selling them. Why? Because I love money! And.... you guys are right, it's not a productive use of my time. I will post some cases when I get a talented technician on board. It would not be productive to criticize my current lab work. Thus the massive overhaul in the way we make dentures.

I guess after seeing the pictures of your dentures on DT Ryan I thought a dentist was making them :)

All kidding aside glad you enjoy removable pros and good for you for trying to improve.

Ryan, I'm just glad you're ego isn't clouding any rational judgment. Personally, this is great to see, you're grabbing the bull by the horns per say. You recognize (most DDS's don't) the problem, see their is a need to address it, and are developing/moving on a plan to fix it.........we could all learn a little something from that IMO.
