Shining 3d Dentalscan problems?

I have two pc's running Dentalscan and both have stopped working. Last week both stopped running the software. I have to do a system restore every time I want to use the software. I have shut off antivirus and Firewall software but the app just wont start. I tried reinstalling everything but the same happens. I restore the systems to before Feb 18th every time I scan. It's like windows started treating the software like a virus.
Any ideas?

It could have had something to do with a Windows update
What AV are you running? Sometimes even if you shut them off, the background running process may block it. You can confirm it in Task Manager. Did you try adding Dentalscan into your AV and Firewall exclusions?

I totally removed the AV and turned the uac of windows down all the way and it seems to be ok. Firewall is completely off.
