Hi everyone. I installed 3shape scanserver 5 today on new a PC and i get this message coming up.
I have a D700
I have tried running USB in blue and black ports to no avail. any ideas?
Is the D700 to old for new PC's?

Thanks all Jeff

I had a similar issue with my D700. Could you explain how you solved the problem?

Hi RKM. Not quite sure. It was a process of elimination.
We, uninstalled scanserver and reinstalled.
we tried swapping all usb items, even tried a new mouse and keyboard.
we installed an extra USB board to the Mother board and nothing worked. (but the IT tech only tried one slot). The IT tech gave up and went home and I played with swapping the mill and scanner cords and
the scanner just started working. It came to life in the new usb board we added, but only in the 2nd slot of 4, It was a very tiring experience to say the least.
The board we added was a PCI to USB 2.0. 4x ports card.
I'm sorry I cannot add anything precise about what I did, it just happened and it seems to be stable after many reboots touching much wood along the way.

I have had this issue also with other USB devices.. Plug it in one of the two ports on the front and it doesnt work, plug it in the other .. and it detects it. The wonderful world of computers. Sometimes it helps to have a mechanics mind of eliminating every possible variable, rather than a computer techs mind of understanding what the problem actually is.. haha

It also seems that you can plug something into a slot and it won't work, try again later and it does.
Ghost in the machine:)
