Is there a trick? Some strategy or visualization that you use? On average, how many units should reasonably fit in a puck?

If you contact your reseller they should have a chart of projected average units/ puck. This chart should cover wax, zr, pmma, if I recall. They had one for the frame/block holder, so I expect they will for the puck.

trial and error.. you can nest closely but sometimes you will lose some support and you can get some that vibrate out.. you can link connectors. I will run a few units in a group, take them out, then add more, so I can overlap where the connectors were.. if that makes sense. I start from the middle and work my way out.. you dont want to start on the outside and leave no support for the center of the puck.

I'm still new to it but about 17-18 Zr and 27ish wax.
I've been starting furthest from puck holder and working in.

About 20-22, crowding at max.... try to tilt them to occupy less space...

Heres 18 units.. this is not a really great example, these are smaller units and bridgework. My average I would say is 14-15.. This was also when I first started and had never done it before.. Its fun trying to squeak as many units in as you can.. every unit lowers your cost.. I save leftover blanks for abutments or anteriors..

We average around 25 to 30 units in a puck, that is a mixture of FCZ and Copings.

My personal best has been 23 (molars and bicuspids). All units shared bars. I don't do that often (fear of something vibrating out and breaking/not being milled completely),but wanted to see how many I could do.

Axis said average 25-30. Does that mean you can add more than 30?

only if you shrink them to half their original size and use your re-big-ulator to enflate them.

Can this type of nesting be done with the Jensen Preciso setup? Would you just align the connectors to match the neighboring tooth? If not possible, try it out username!
