Sorry if this is a repost of a previous question, I searched and could not find anything. Is it possible to convert Sirona's digital scans into usable .stl files for milling your own model work?

If i'm not mistaken we had to purchase a license to be able to export files as an STL.

If you have Cerec v4.2 you can export the file as a .cdt then import it into Blender v2.63 using the CDT Total Importer then export it as a .STL

how do you import a cdt once that is installed ?

i think i have it installed correctly but my import menu does not seem to show CDT

Hmmm. It's been a long time since I installed it. Iirc it took me a while to figure out how to make it work correctly. I'll have to mess around with it when I get some free time.
