We have a Dr trying to send us dicom scans, is there anyway to swap those into stl for models or anything like that? I keep getting "no" and "yes" answers from our Digital rep (says no) and online (says yes) but with little help, is there any straight forward answers (yes or no with a explanation),I thought that those were more for surgical guides and jaw relations rather than tooth anatomy and model work so I always assumed you couldnt but its never safe to assume!

You can with programs like 3D slicer and Blueskyplan. It gets more complicated depending on what you're trying to do. If you're trying to print the jaw for example you should choose a program to use like BSP or Realguide and watch some videos on segmentation.

Youre going to print a ct scan? Or you just want to import them? Exocad has a dicom viewer, you just load it and its just like a stl model, only reason you would need an stl is to print or manufacture them no?
