Yes it's compatible with 3shape and every other .stl editor on the planet. I'm curious what he wants you to do with it?...we see it being used for dentures and full arch restoration cases in my lab. I know
@JohnWilson is using it for all-on-x cases using a fiduciary, pretty cool stuff.
He purchased it for full mouth implant cases. We have done many through the years together, but it has been frustrating at times.
I am local, so I go to his office and mount the models with the temps that had been worn for a while and the occlusion and esthetics have been worked out.
This would sometimes lead to another set of temps because the initial bite, midline, or whatever would be a little off from the records that I was given initially from them.
I would then copy the final temps with my scanner for the final prosthesis.
Some patients have been easy to work with, but others have asked for changes to the temps, then change back to what we had before.
He has been sold on the fact that this will eliminate the trouble with several sets of temps.
He also has been told that this will make things easier and faster, hence cheaper.
There is nothing easy about these cases in my opinion.
