I do a lot of diagnostic waxups. I then need to scan them to exocad. I hate needing to spray them. Does anyone know of a scannable diagnostic wax. I know it will lose its more natural translucent look. I use the Yetti scannable wax normally but it is too ivory in color.
Thank you

Duplicate a alginate pour up to scan, still being able to use your favorite wax?
You'd also then have a back up, just in case.
I know it's more work, and not what your looking for, but with me,
you get what you pay for :)

just trying to simplify ya know. Right now I put scan powder on. It’s ok but not ideal.

Have you tried Snow Scan Powder? It goes on cleaner and thinner, it doesn't take very much with that stuff.
Still, someone else may have a answer as far as a wax.

I use silicone spray and fine Alginate. It goes on great and super cheap. Just messy for larger diagnostic cases. But works fine. Guess I’ll stick with that for now. Thank you for the response.

You're welcome :)

I'm still hoping someone will have an idea for you, and all of us to learn about.

For me, digital works great for creating pontics, but usually I'm prepping teeth just enough to make the corrections etc and make it look universally the same as far as the wax coverage.

Might be a bit late to the party but befor i went fully digital i used to use an extremely light powdering of eye shadow over the wax, it works just as good as any scan powder but its dirt cheap and easily available. It wont stick to the wax or model and you just need some compressed air to get rid of it.

I use waxs that scans perfectly.
There are many for blocking out , modeling and milling.

but does anyone care that I give the brand name?

Maybe call Hi tech to see about more options.
