Hello there! i ve noticed in a couple cases that the Mis Multi Unit analogs have some movement inside the gypsum... i dont know if its the geometry of the analogs or the gypsum that causes that movement. The gypsum that i use is from klasse 4 the rocky mountain.

Have you noticed something similar?

Thanks!!

What type or brand of analogs are you using?

With the shift to digital, I’ve noticed many labs default to using whatever analogs they have on hand when an occasional impression needs to be poured. But be aware—most DIM analogs commonly stocked today aren’t ideal for analog applications.

If you're having issues, then as Doug mentioned, simply adding retention features should work just fine.

We had that problem and I started cutting notches into the analogs to get more plaster around them to lock them into place.. It helped, but it isn't a perfect solution.
That was the next step! And I'll put some pattern resin to create a more aggressive shape

I've noticed that only with original MIS multi unit analogs, not with other brands or replicas, I never use digital analogs for an analog case. I wil add retention features with some acrylic and i will see!

Thanks for the reply!

Could it be expansion from the heat when the plaster sets ?

Analogs have notches I am not sure why you have movements unless the stone is too hard and not flowing.
