One piece zirconia implant combining the implant and abutment. Prep intraorally and impress like natural prepped tooth. Due to the one piece nature, placement of the implant has to be right on.

There is a protocol for making the patient wearing something removable to
'protect' the implant while it is integrating . . .
There is some good research articles you can find on Pubmed - mostly from
European Universities if I remember correctly.
Would consider for patients who have severe aversion, physiological or
psychological, to metals in the mouth although zirconia is in the transitional
metals portion of periodic table the last time I checked.
