I've been using Nobel for these but can't stand how time consuming the scan is and we always run into problems. My practice cases on 3swhape are easy and fast, just can't find a milling center to mill. Glidewell and 3i still not accepting at this time. Anyone know who to talk to on this?

Hmm, are you sure the 3 shape scanner is precice enough for a ti bar?

If ever you find a place to mill those bar i would love to know and see how they did.

And what you mean by "problem" with nobel bar? For my past experience they are really neat!

Once the bar is back, correctly, they are awesome from nobel. We do about 3 a week lately. The last came back 3 mm short of the model analog for the 2 anterior posts. We, myself and Nobel support, can't see what problem is yet.
I'm hoping to find out who to use through a 3shape design until nobel can put out some smoother software as I'm told should be happening sometime next year. Just not a fan of their scanner and software.

As far as I know in the US. Glidewell is the only one.

I have been milling ti bars form 3shpae, I use delcam software to mill, and we are a milling center so we would rather have are customers design and we will mill it. I will say you have to watch with 3shpae because a lot of implant librayries are encrypted and you can only send to files to them. And yes the 3shpae 800 scanner produces decent bars, I'm not sure on the 700 yet,
if you would like more info more then willing to talk to you,

Arnie

Can you post a few photos of your bars, and bar substructures. Your work, not taken from an ad.

Thank you,
Danny

Arnie, you NEED DentalShaper and SUM3D.

Easy to de-encrypt the files. I'll do it for ya for $0.99!!

I wanna see a 3Shape bar design! Someone send me one.

employee's email.... brad@*************

Thanks!

I only have customers bars from 3 shape or i would send you one, its not bad. Much better then Delcam design. I have looked into dentalshaper and sum3d, guess sometime i will need to see a demo of it. Their are many different ways around the encrput files, its not to big of a deal anymore, especially for bars, abutments take a little more work.

He doesn't need Dental Shaper if he get's an open scan abutment kit, such as what nt-trading offers.

I know Dental Science mills some nice titanium bars for a decent price.

I would say : This post is useless without pics!

Show us Ti bar made with 3 shape, i still doubt about their quality vs Nobel or 3I product.

Simple bar with threaded attachment

Arnie,

Show us the cast that it seats on please. And what is the actual plan for the prosthesis? Just curious with all the screw access holes.

Thank you,

Danny

Danny,

I'm a milling center and do not have the cast for the bars I posted earlier, hear is a bar on the cast though. I do not typically get cast with bars and didn't think about taking pictures of them on casts. And with that said these are just milled to what the customer wanted from an stl file and I don't know what they are doing with the prothesis. We did add the screw access hole to their file, this is what they asked us to do. We do have the full package of delcam and the imetric scanner for doing custome work but are not looking to get into design and just wanting to mill for labs that want to design
