vhf milling machine

VHF manufactures the EZMILL, Jensen mill, Weiland Mini, along with a whole slew of others and they have a large 5 axis machine.
 
4 axis from 30k to 35k Shultz Eco at 30k ...All of these small tabletops have there own Cam
 
No price for the 5 axis since it's not out yet. Buy the DWX50 if you demand a 5-axis.

VHF is quite a bit less expensive, and to get 5Xis with I Core you need to get to the 500 series,$$$$$, so you are out of the "bench top" range. . I heard I Core is coming up with the 250 series ( Bench top) with 5 Axis option in 2013. I wonder if the I250 is more superior to VHF? It is heavier , VHF is the chosen machine by Weilan , Shera, Jensen, maybe for a reason. I am looking for a Bench Top, torn between the VHF 5axis, Icore 250 or the Roland 5X , I am looking for "Precision" ,not speed. I wonder if someone can weight in . We lacking in this business "independent reviews and evaluations"
 
I am offered a VHF from Shera with a Free CAM, do you know if this free CAM software any good ??? Do you have an opinion on the whole Bench Toppers?? I would appreciate if you would weight in Charles, I value your opinion. We have to suffer through the manufacturers claims , and few of us have to be burned beforewe get lab machines evaluated, for the money we spent we gotta get some real 'Reviews" organization like " Reality"
 
why don't u ask somebody who have VHF machine ( without wieland mini)
and try to understand why VHF's CAD cement is 0.025mm not the true numerical.

if u need the machine now.

Imes Icore has a tabletop 5 axis milling machine , 450 i . It is more expensive than VHF of course .

Roland would be a good solution , as many owners here love it . Also yenadent has a machine , DC 43 . If you have a scanner , send files to every company you are interested in , and see for yourself what each machine can do . Choose a reall model , not a perfect one , with perfect preps etc . A real world model . That is what I did when I was searching for my machine .
 
Thanks Drizzt for advising?? What are you operating now?? Roland sounds good, Except for Scott, everyone else like it. The only advantage I see with VHF over Roland is the spindle is Jager, more solid , at 60,000 rpm vs Roland at 30,000 I dont know what different that makes in reality , but the Jager name is pretty good
 
I have a custom made Yenadent D 40 . I wanted to mill metal . And I do mill metal everyday ! Really happy with it . Jaeger is good . May be the best for this kind of machines ? I don't know about rpm , since you're gonna mill zirconium at 20.000 I think . Everybody having Roland is really happy with it . But , I don't think it is a real CNC machine . VHF is . But the lack of 5th axis is for me a no go . Don't listen to the reps when they are telling you that 97% of the jobs are done with 4 axis . It is really nice to fit a 14 mm job in a 10 mm or 12 mm disck . Money saver .
 
Thanks Drizzt, you are right , every rep says the 97% thing about the 4 axis, it is alway 97% not 95% not 99%
