Ok...bad news.
Lincoln Dental supply has just informed me that they have ran out of
Valplast again and that Valplast says production has slowed down.
Not sure when any more is going out to suppliers:(
Hope you all stocked up.

I wonder how many labs won't go back to Valplast whenever they get caught back up with their stock?

Hello all...been kinda lurking and learning from you guys...Anyways the Valplast Corp. moved here to Oceanside,Long Island awhile ago and the area where it's located had major flooding due to Hurricane Sandy. I haven't driven down there just to see how bad it was but I will soon.

We have gone to TCS and after dialing in my temperature and melting time and utilizing their sperator ( seems like pink oil) things are beautiful. I think I may actually like it better than Valplast now.

BUT

If I never ever had to do another one of these ****ty flexy partials I would be thrilled :)

I stay away from flexible partials as major connector - see quite a few buccal ridge soreness from others
who made for unhappy patients.

So true, so many of these partials are made by techs that are using rigid partial thinking and are not following the manufactures recommendation of mandating to set teeth exactly over the ridge regardless of dissimilar arch forms.

Nothing is more telling to me than to see a case cheated off the ridge and then having the client tell me that the patient never felt comfortable with it, well DUH! After I smile I take that opportunity to teach them by explaining WHY this does not work. The light goes on and we make a REAL partial :)

I moved to FRS and do very little valplast anymore... I know many here hate Dentsply, but I think the FRS is easy to polish, repair and reline. We do very few full flexible partials. I have all my clients doing cast combo cases with a lingual metal frame and Flex saddles/clasps. Much thinner on the lingual, no flex on major connectors, and I get my price for them. Docs love them.

Just a heads up we received in another shipment of Medium Standard pink. So far that is the only shade and size that is coming in. If anyone is having trouble finding any let me know.

The name is hysterical, but Man release spray works well. Ease release 300 I believe.

What about using the TCS release spray or the Mold release from ADS, both great products.
