After sectioning and soldering a new lingual bar (with white gold solder & platinum foil, ouch) to get it to fit the master model (I make silicone dupes and send those to the casting lab),I think it's finally time to find a new lab for my partial frameworks. Can anyone recommend a casting lab they are happy with? PM me if you don't want to post publicly.
Thanks.
BTW, I don't care if I have to send them across the country, I just have to have good fitting frames.

I have a RPD Lab in Sydney Australia, we specialise in manufacturing RPD'S using 3Shape software and printing with DP 3000. A vital part to success with this technology is understanding the software, but once you find a lab that knows how to use the software you will receive consistant high quality results.
Once the designer has set the design patterns, they will not change unless reset by the designer. So every Molar Clasp, every Premolar Clasp and the tissue relief on every case is the same.
Im sure your looking for a Lab in the US to look after your partials completely, but you could easily have your partials designed anywhere in the world, and sent back to you within hours, to be printed and finished in the US.
There are many manufacturing options when it comes to CAD CAM Partials, Food for thought, Hope this may be helpful.

Thanks for your thoughts on the digital side of things. As a small lab owner I have not yet made the transition to digital, and have no scanner. Perhaps when the price comes down, way down...
Cheers!

Try Bertram in Appleton, Wisconsin - they are not that far from where you are. Talk to Jeff.
I have sent someone else there and still thanking me for the referral.

I make some excellent frames, but they're not cheap :) In all seriousness, I do like to brag about my partials, my guys do a bang up job. $160 a frame. Stock photo, sorry no model.

Call up Udell Dental. I think they are using 3Shape and a 3D Systems printer and do complete designed, cast and finished frames for $100, quick turnaround also .

Interesting finish line on the roach clasp arm.I have not sen it done that way, I would think it would make the clasp more rigid? I am certain it looks bad ass when the acrylic is processed. $160 is cheap, most of my frames that I do personally with BEGO go for around $290 metal only, when I outsource to Bertram I mark their frame up 100%

Sorry guys but if I paid $160 for a framework I would never sell one to a dentist! We outsource our frameworks, use exclusively Vitalluim 2000+ and sale our frames to the Dentist for less than $160 and still make a good profit.

I know of labs in our area selling frameworks to the dentist for $138, Our lab is considered to be expensive in our area

what about the west coast?
im not going to say who it is on here but im not that happy with my current chrome lab anymore.
they used to be really good but now they have gotten to big. (and big headed)
the service and general attitude stinks now and the work isn't that great anymore either. last 2 frames i hade to rework before i sent them out. and they charge 15 per unit.
im located on the central coast. around Monterey. anything close would be nice.

Yup, mostly the bling effect. We did these with all the kennedy bars and such as samples, but the little add on to the finish lines gets incorporated most of the time. The 160 would be a lab price, Im 200 to the dentist, metal only. My finished cases usually go around $350-$400 depending on whats what.

We charge 180 for the frame to our local university, but that's because the wax up has to go there to be approved. Our normal price for a framework is 140. We've been doing frames here for 21 years with good success. I don't know how comfortable you are with sending to Canada, but when the dollar goes back to where it should be, it might be an economic advantage. Feel free to check out our website at customdental.org or give us a call.

I would have to say Bertram Dental Lab up in Appleton Wisconsin is real good and not too much $$$. Good luck.
