Is it possible for anybody on here to take an stl file, change the dimensions and send it back so I can attempt to mill it out of wax? This is a non dental object, and when I bring it into SUM3D it's around 100mm in circumference, and 12mm thick. I would like to have it around the size and thickness of a half dollar. The object has two levels, the base would be the thickness of the half dollar and the second as thick as the first.

Anyone with Exocad or Geo can do it for you, take about 30 seconds. If you can't get it done then send it over [email protected]

Your printer software would work as well Tyler.

Re-scale part for your plate during set-up. Highlight part and click on "Info" and the dimentions will pop up.

Then, you can save the part as stl in the new size. Same with mirror, etc....and you can rescale only One or Two axis if you want? (3d-Skewing)

Or, in SUM3d you could try a negative scaling during import of that file......save part.

Tonz of options!

How does one scale down in SUM3D during import? Are you saying to open new job as zr, change shrinkage rate to a negative? would that work?

The larger one is something I made by hand. The lettering says Wu Tang in Chinese. The round coin looking thing is the file that I sent out to some great DLN friends!! Thanks guys. This turned out awesome!! Going to use it as a golf marker, if or when I ever get to go, and if I make it one the green. Haha. Oh and it's been cast out of copper!!

I carved this denture on a 2" round plaster of Paris disc 29 years ago.
