MUA on two splinted crowns?

Anyone have thoughts on this? Someone wants to use MUA's to splint #18-#19 together. I would think with any kind of lateral movement is going to cause a lot of stress on the little screw in the ti base screw.

Why not use non-engaging ti-base crowns?

You could but cost of a non-enganging custom abutment would have to be close to the same and provide much more excursion support.

You only need one non engaging custom abutment. The other can engage.

Sounds like "someone" is listening to "someone else" who has a stockpile of MUAs they want to get rid of.

if that's what the Dr wants, that what they would get.
however, it wouldn't be our reoccurring headache! lol. advise and remove any promises regarding the work.

I've done a few..
no issues that i know of, but as others have stated, non engaging custom or bases would be best
