Would be really interested in hearing your views on using the same mill for alloy and Zr? is there a contamination risk? what precautions do you take etc

cheers

We mill Zr Ti Peek Pmma sticktech emax ceramic and a lot of other materials, never had a problem with cross contamination. The only thing I do is use special burs for each material, Got about 8 years with the same system. KaVo do make a N/P disk and we gave it a go but cost a bomb so gave up. Hope some of that helps Pete

As Pete said we have not seen a cross contamination but we do use different tools and it is important to use a good suction machine to minimize the risk and clean between switching we are milling with the imes machines.

Same here . Different milling tools and a good cleaning before the switch .
