Hello everyone, maybe pfm cracked is the common thing that we often see, but the cause is so many
First of all you guys have to know i am using verabond metal which is the CTE is 14.0 and im using ceramco3 metal that the CTE is higher than the metal (around 15.0)
So, here is the problem, since i changed the cool cycle to 5min, the crack often appears and the more i bake the more crack happens and sometimes there is gap between the porcelain and opaque
Before those things happens, i didnt use cooling at all and always immediately remove it from furnace but crack never happens
My statement is supported by ceramco3 dentsply troubleshooting
So cooling is necessary for metal that have higher CTE than the porcelain, but if the CTE of metal is lower than porcelain, so cooling is forbidden
What do you think ? Lets discuss below
