Anytime there is impression material inside the resin type plastic
impression copings, unless it has a window for the modified Straumann
technique to capture a preprared solid abutment, the accuracy of the
impresion is highly suspect. It should be a clean intaglio and the analog
must be able to snap into the impression coping clearly. If the basket
type impression cap is mobile or the analog spins inside, I won't waste
my time unless the DDS will pay to remake the crown after I show them
my lab work fits on the die/analog and cast he provided. Cannot be responsible
for any bad impressions.
