Does anyone know if its possible to design a crown in exo, then import the crown stl into sirona 15 to mill on the mcxl? Ive tried a few times this morning but it always wants model files, I just want to be able to mill emax on the mcxl from a file ive already designed.

Thanks!

You have to import into Inlab cam.
this is the cam to use the import of stl-file for milling and grinding with mcxl and mc5.

Yes, they will send it if you have the MCX5, not the MCXL

Downloading it from the sirona site right now, we'll see if our PC allows us to run it.

Try downloading it from http://www.inlab.com/support.html

From their website:
OPEN for STL and XML.
inLab MC XL and inLab MC X5 are open for processing restoration data*** from all common dental CAD software*. The optional XML import gives additional information such as preparation margins, insertion axes or order information e.g. from exocad® or 3Shape®.

(notice lots of asterisk!)

LOL, you're joking right? I don't know what its like in the states, but our rep here is as useful as an ash tray on a motorcycle.

It might be different in the states as far as the cam being included. That I don't know. I didn't realize you were in BC.

you need a license key for cam as well. i have this setup and it came with a key for the 15.2 and a key for CAM.
