Hybrid implant

I did this case a little while back. Patient had severe class 3 but wanted class 1 and had 6 existing implants (unknown),2 natural teeth/preps to be reduced. Patient was recommended to have additional implant placed in #8 or #9 region in the future. Patient also wanted crown and bridge on top occlusion and incisal areas. I made this particular case sectioned so that any or all of it could be repaired or replaced in the future. Hope you like.

I would ask the DDS To check access for pt to clean and floss clinically - different with real gums,
but can cause your effort to fail shortly if pt cannot clean . . .

Also little concerned about cheek biting on the left side - canine onwards. Challenging work, don't get
me wrong, and alot of creative engineering to overcome limitations. Just not sure will be smooth sailing
or come back with alot of repairs, etc if alot of adjustments have to be made. The fixed units were
friction fitted only, or bonded to the metal subframe before acrylic work?

Your concerns are justified. As of date ,no issues reported. As far as any future repairs, a temporary acrylic partial has also been made. Crown preps were made with a 2 degree milled taper. Each crown has a lingual tail , which helped our ceramist to build up crowns as well as imbed crowns in final acrylic.

*Slow Clap* Amazing, very impressed with hybrid. Definitely needs more implant support though. I have noticed a fair amount of flex on those standard hinge articulators did that cause any issues?

I agree. Urged Pt. & Dr. To place more fixtures. I did make allowances in anterior area for future placement. As of now, not yet. As far as articulator, I started out simple planned to switch off but realized Pt.s bite was all over the place. Kept it simple & had Dr. Mill & set chairside @ try- in. Maybe good choice, bad or otherwise. But it worked out. Thx.

That makes sense, sometimes simplest is best. I could definitely see how the guys bite would be all over the place. Bet the patient was pretty happy with the case, id love to see a delivered picture.

Just wanted to get back to you on pics of case in mouth. Followed up with Dr. Surprisingly Dr. Didn't take any worthwhile pics. And I found out patient left country at present time. I guess you could say case was successful ! HaHa !
