Nearly every wax will shine up nicely if polished with a paper towel under cold running water.

Made a buffer for the handpiece with some soft foam....Works very well....In fact I do a lot with the handpiece during finishing...Using those scotchbrite pads for gross removal and contouring wax and the buffing wheel makes for a nice finish....I will be doing some pumicing with the handpiece(old one) and a small ragwheel on a mandrel....behind the glass of course.

Using just packing foam in a mandrel works awesome, thanks TomZ
That's all l use anymore. Although mine is mounted on a quick chuck mandrel for the bench lathe.
Best trick ever.

I scrub lightly with bristle brush and soapy water before I use the bench lathe foam. The wax needs to be slightly damp to work and not smear wax.
