Iv been googling to find a simple explanation of what a biaxial flex strength test is. I cant seem to find anything. I am in study mode of what the physics of materials are.

Can someone explain it like I'm 10 years old, then after that explain it like I'm 5 years old :) Is it like grabbing a stick with 2 hands and bending it till it breaks, with a measurement?

Thanks

one configuration is beams in an "X" shape with the center removed. and object is attached. By means of rollers or bearings, the set up allows force applied in one direction to be transmitted to the object in multiple or "BI"=2 directions.
The test is useful as it can convey torsional or sheer strengths and not just compressive load.

The 2 year old? Sometimes if you wedge it under your foot and pull, it breaks faster.
