I took a e.max course last year and the instructors were advocating glaze or essence stains as a foundation. Especially on partial cut back build ups.

I learned my emax skills from Al
.
He taught me to use glaze liquid and fire a wash bake with porcelain not glaze.

His trust his judgement and experience.

This is how Oliver Brix and Gerald Ubassey do it as well. It is how I do it too. It works very good for holding internal strains.

I this is the final result after 2 "sprinkle fires"

1st fire is to get the base to fire your stains on.

2nd you apply glaze liquid (not paste),stain as you wish, then sprinkle wet stain.

I use OE1 most of the time for my sprinkling, but I have used deep dentine and dentine shades as well if I was layering a MO1 or MOO core.

I wish...got a 6 unit lower ant veneer case and some custom layered ants to finish up.

This was a repost of some pics I had already uploaded and posted in Restorations Du Jur a couple months ago. ;)

Haven't been taking many pics lately. Too busy....

Why am I wasting my time on here!!!!!! :banplease:
