Why is it I can never seem to find the edge design tool in 3Shape when designing a bridge and I want to do a cutback? It always pops up when I do a single coping. What am I missing ? Thanks

1. Make sure your in "frame design".
2. Click the tooth you want to add the cutback.
3. Make sure your on "coping".
4. Click "clear" and then "initialize" to start a new lingual band if you mess one up or cant see it.
5. Make sure there is an offset. Mine is 0 so there will be no lingual band/cutback.

Also if you need to cutback on a pontic make sure to select "lingual band".

Thank you. I was looking right past coping and skipping to sculp.

It's a good tip to keep the default offset at 0 or .1mm. You don't have to wast time sliding the layer on the top right to see where your at. And you can enforce your cutback on the fly to your liking.

I leave mine at .90 for uniform offset, but Facial 1mm Occlusal 1.2mm, Lingual 1mm and interpromixal .75mm on pontics gingival is set to .5mm. But on some cases I have to add cause it cut too much. I see that happen on tall teethm molars and Bi's. Then I simply enforce all to .5mm in the sculpt section.
