Here's a tricky one. A couple weeks ago one of my dr's sent me a crown and abutment back because they thought the screw had broken. What they didn't realize was that the interface of the abutment, and most of the screw threads had broke off into the implant. I spoke with the office last night and the oral surgeon was able to get the screw out, but not the interface. Does anybody know of any tricks that I could pass along to the dr and oral surgeon so they can get this out, otherwise they will have to remove the implant.
Thanks in advance DLN fam!!

Call Astra tech first!
Nobel made one that was designed to be turned in the opposite direction to retrieve
that abutment a while ago, I believe for their then new NobelActive abutments.
Reversing direction would advance a center 'plunger' type pole that would push
the abutment in if the threads are still present
Astra might make one like that as well.
