Just seeing what everyone is using for denture base plates. And I am talking about the wax try-in. Wax,triad,suck-down or other?

We use light cure base plates. The custom tray material from apm sterngold stays a little flexible and is more forgiving around undercuts. Cost is a little better with the custom tray material also.

I prefer Diamond D 20 minute cure acrylic for baseplates, then use pink thermoformed 0.80. If it's going softliner than I use lightcure on the lower which doubles as a spacer for the molloplast B, on the upper 0.30 splint for the spacer under 0.60 pink thermoform

I'm using Bosworth Fastray (pink). I have some light-cure stuff, but it feels greasy to me.

how do you deal with undercuts with the vacuum-formed material? Are you blocking them out before suckdown? Ive tried this but they seem to get locked on.

I use the lincoln light cure stuff and its terrible.. cant ever get the sticky slime off of it. Ive tried alcohol, white gas, its just gross.

With the light cure stuff. I glass beed it, then steam it. That gets all the sticky, slimy s@#t off. Now with the suck down. Block out the major undercuts. But just heat it up really good and it will form great.

Use an air barrier coat ( abc) such as glycerine to cure the oxygen inhibition layer.

Triad makes a great product for this application and it washes away with water and a tooth brush.

I use this for all light cured products.

Alternative is to cure through a clear glass beaker under water. Do agree the Triad ABC
works well - can even peel it away after cure.
