An observation thats prolly not new. Im scanning abutments in tonight on my NobelProcera and I always scan Zhermack made bites. I find that the Optimet scanner does and amazing job scanning these (meaning I dont have to trim them versus the Steinbichler scanner I use w/Exocad).

I hear Optimet is now selling their scanner with Exocad but I cant update(mod) my Nobel system to use Exocad. Anyone know if this is possible?

Originally the Optimet via Nobel was gonna scan impressions and I can see why the way it scans my hastly made bites.

Dream on I know...

I think the reason you are dissapointed with the st2 results is the scanning strategy is very basic to speed up capture. You can add a couple of scans manually. We typically don't have this issue because we use registered jaw with out articulator.
