Stock analogs do not always have the internal anti rotation in alignment with outer due to the nature of the broaching process which is arbitrary
Stock analogs would be cheaper than a proprietory analogs from the milling/printing center.
By printing an abutment transfer jig you accomplish 2 tasks at once.
1. the jig is used in conjunction with a scan body or closed tray impression coping to position the stock analog into the socket of the printed model.
2. once the case is completed , the dr can use the transfer jig to place the abutment.
Of course the dr could always use a small thermoplastic jig to position a closed tray impression coping introrally at the same time as the ios.
