I noticed that there wasn't a 3Shape group started yet. I would like people to join the group that have 3Shape so we could discuss and learn more from each other. I would love to answer any questions that some of you may have, or if I do not know the answer, I could help find out for you guys. I would love to get this group really up and running. You'll need to post at least 10 posts on DLN before you're able to become a full member. After you do that,

you'll be able to join groups and whatnot. Ask @Travis what else you'll need to do. He can hook you up.

Just got our first scanner and just found your 3Shape group.....how lucky was that.
Sounds like the sort of group I need to join, so what do I need to do to get in?

Has anyone had any luck fabricating zirconia stress breakers in 3shape? I have a doctor that is wanting to do a Bruxzir bridge with stress breaker.

I am wondering this also and if so how do you log it in?

Since someone was asking about 3OXZ earlier, it's just a zipped container file containing the scans, .pts for margins and 3Shape order information. They can be unpacked with 7Zip (or probably any other unzip program). This is handy if you get, say, a 3M scan with a pre-prep scan that won't get imported properly, you can just unzip the 3OXZ and attach your pre-prep manually.

Is it where you can try it in person with a computer you bring to the machine, or can they bring it to you?

That is a red flag to me. Like buying a laptop without a power cord. Not always bad, but could mean stolen or broken.

The scanner won't be locked. If it is damaged then it simply won't work. If it is good working condition then it will work on any 3shaoe dongle and software. But like jmn said red flag. Keep looking out there you will find one.

3shape has a trial available, you'd need to contact them or a reseller, but like everything, it's not free.

I want to basically create a few libraries with the vita physioden teeth for male and female teeth. If this is possible how do I go about doing this.

3Shape has some of the Physiodens molds already.

You can create your own library from wax-ups. Just takes a lot of time, but once done, it could be well worth it. You tube is a good source for vidoe tut's.
