Thanks for posting studies and thoughts,
It's been a year since I posted this topic. I now don't finish the surface and haven't got any words from ceramists.
I guess it's working :)

ok, we ran 75 units a day when i worked in a milling center... green stone for major adjustments, high speed with diamonds for margins and smoothing the surface. we never had an issue... didn't worry about it either way, and never had an issue or complaint. sandblast it and go... or grind it and go.

Simple answer is try not to make any adjustment to the zirconia framework unless its not avoidable,
if you have to do so use only the diamond infused (stone) burrs (looks like a green or white stone burrs),clean then build up.
high speed diamond burrs with water spray will work also but i don't like it cause it give a very smooth surface however its still the best for fitting.
don't waste your time sandblasting or smoothing it has in general a bad effect.
the best surface of the zirconia infrastructure to be veneered with porcelain is the one you get directly after sintering so don't waste it.

best wishes
