you've clearly not heard of the great firewall of china.

china cuts off internet access except in very specific circumstances. to even use social media there you need to be verified with id. they dont allow mega corporations like facebook and its hundred subsidiaries to have chinese id's unless that information is stored on chinese servers controlled by the state.

its 100x better than the opposite.

and the entire idea behind it is to allow westerners the impression that chinese workers ARE paid little to nothing, working as donkeys, like the old days. this disguises how much progress has actually been made, and how advanced their real facilities area.

its helps china get better, when you think of them as cheap, or slave workers.
