Ive made Temporary suckdown dentures by placing an acrylic tooth in the gap and sucking down clear material over it,
but there is another right, with tooth acrylic?

If youre presented with a model with all teeth.
you suckdown the material first, trim it, grind away the tooth on the model, separate model, put tooth acrylic in the gap then then place the splint over the model?
is that correct? does it get messy?

I believe what you are referring to is an essix retainer. We do them with denture teeth as you mentioned,

I set the denture tooth and then add tooth shade acrylic to make intimate contact with the ridge. I then make mechanical retention in the form of a lingual-shelf that the clear 060 material will lock into when vac-u-formed.

I do not use any resin after forming on the clear suck-down material as its easy to make the material cloudy as the monomer etches when it comes into contact.
