TBH ive pretty much given up on partial layering.
can get an OK result with it but fully layered stuff just looks sooo much better.
Another neat little technique thats being used now:
Press a HO thimble coping, then press an LT coping to go over the top. You could then do a LT cut back tecnique and have the HO coping stained to the colour you want under to mask the stump.
The thimble HO coping is then bonded to the tooth and then the crown bonded to the HO coping
Im gonna be trying this when i get the right case come along. I can see it being really useful for a bleech case with dark stumps where i can have like a HO stained coping with maybe HT emax over the top. This would give the opaque core inside and trans everywhere else like you commonly get with bleached teeth.
