So I'll keep it short, I'm a 1.5-2 man denture lab, lots of experience with CAD/CAM, currently using hyperdent/dwx-51d but it's severely limping lately.

Need a new mill, there are so many options now so it's a bit overwhelming.

In the sub $30k range what mills (all-in) are the best bang for your buck. I mill 90% PMMA which seems like a brutal material, but will be doing full arch zirconia every now and also wax for frameworks.

$5k+ to upgrade hyperdent just seems oppressive for the size of my lab, so I'm open to other software. Wet/dry combo would be ideal, but not sure if wet would even help on PMMA.

Value adds like warranty are nice, but not super interested in software support, because in my experience, is for c&b labs. Otherwise the support is purely of the emotional nature.

Thanks!

Have you looked at VHF E5? Plug and play, only needs electricity, no air.
Solidly built, very simple and straightforward CAM.

I don't think vhf E series is meant for heavy use. Xtcera has cheap and quite capable milling machines. It seems these are getting more popular in the US. I believe they come with hyperdent.

Something to think about out, must be a reason.

a lot of chinese machine can be chosen. for pmma it is better to use a wet, implant milling level machine. Xtcera or JINY, Cradle etc

after many test recent years. wet milling will surely have a better surface quality and save time. like the photo below. one with wet ,one with dry

and a high precision level machine will allow to fix some spceial case like bps , i dont know if u need it

btw. why not try WorkNC(it is an advertise haha)

i dont get it

you are willing to spend 30k on a mill but not 5k on upgrading hyperdent to run the mill

if it were me i'd spend the 5k, and a trip to vegas to blow the other 25 on number 7.

Prolly the import tariffs… or maybe potential future trade restrictions making parts and consumables tough to get. Zubler wouldn’t put their name behind a low-quality product, IMO.
Sorry, meant that I trust Zubler100% and therefore their discontinuation has to be an issue with that product, not Zubler.
