I just finished watching a
documentary on the Muscle Shoals recording studios (Fame studio, the original, and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio). It was fantastic
Part of it was on Duane Allmans visit and recording there. Including Gregg talking about the horse riding accident that left Duane's arm
in a sling and pissed off at Gregg for getting them both out for the ride. So Gregg, on Duane's birthday, bought him a present of Taj Mahals first
album and a bottle of Coricidin. He rang the doorbell, leaving it at his front door and ran. About an hour later he gets a call from Duane asking
him to come over. Duane was blown away by the slide guitar he heard on the album, he had peeled the label off the Coricidin bottle and was using
it as his first slide, telling Gregg this is where it's at.
