Hi everyone.
Just looking for an explanation for why the margin outlines are different in these 2 examples please.

Both outlines are at 0.15 but you can see one outer margin line is further out than the other example.
The line that is further out generally mills a better margin than the other example.
I just cannot see any difference in the strategy setup that makes this happen.

The closest lines are the 22 vers and the wider margin line is 19 vers of millbox. I have looked at both versions and cannot see any difference in the setup.
Hoping if anyone can shed some light please.

Thanks All

I don't think millbox does anything but read your stl and pts files, which come from CAD. Your margin offsets look different on those 2 restorations, are you sure the settings when connecting to marginline are the same for both? Same manufacturing process/material in CAD? I don't think looking in millbox is going to fix this for you

If I ever have an issue with the Programill CAM, as far as the margins needing to be marked manually, 9 times out of 10, if I go back into 3Shape and disconnect/reconnect the margin of the crown, it resolves it for me, the margin is read correctly by the CAM.

Thanks for your reply.
I will look into the CAD settings.
I have milled the same crown in both versions of Millbox, and the 19 vers consistently produces a smoother margin, whereas 22 will have little divets and occasionally minor chipping at margin.
