It maybe time for a new dust collector for trimming dies.
I am looking for an under the bench fairly quiet one for a small lab.
No room or place for central vac.
Kavo, vanniman or what?

We like our Vaniman. We use it for two stations. Die trimming and grinding porcelain. works great and it is indeed fairly quiet.

I have an old Microstar with adjustable speed. One of the quietest I have used.

Vaniman had some really sweet stuff at the LMT show, you should make it to LMT West and see if you can make a deal. 1100-1200 is to much for me I piped my suction from another room so I can go cheep with a $65.QSP Shop vac with a $8 drywall bag I change monthly and washable HEPPA cartridge filter. I have several as they take a few days to completly dry.

I like my Vaniman, it works 10 times better than the piece of crap Handler that came with my bench.

I have the stonevac brushless for model work.. its nice, pretty powerful but it is rather loud (I think). I just bought a Quatro velocity it's also really powerful but quieter.
