Hey guys!

New comer here, been lurking here for a few months now, but just got around to making an account!

One of our doctors uses a Cerec Intra-oral Scanner and is willing to send us some work if we could receive their files. However, we use 3Shape design and I'm not 100% if their files would be easily importable. Do we need to use a program that Cerec offers to make this possible? Or is there a function on Cerec programs to export as a .3e or .3si?

Thanks for all the help in advance!

TLDR; New to forum, need to receive files from Cerec intraoral scanner and import into 3shape Design Manager. How do I make this possible?

you need the cerec connect portal to get the file from the doc, withinwhich you will be able to convert to stl.

or

if the case is an omnicam scan you can accept .3se in your 3shape by calling your 3shape provider and having them enable it for you. might cost you some money.

well, both will cost you money. which one costs less i can't say for sure.

Is that the "all scans" module you are talking about?

Unfortunately not. I tried contacting Cerec, but was linked to a rep who said the only way to get their software was through the purchase of one of their scanners. Seemed fishy to me. So the problem is still there.
