I do a lot of work with Dentsply using Atlantis abutments...especially in Straumann implants. Many of our doctors have switched over to sending in IO scans over analog impressions. Three different doctors have complained about the Dentsply scan bodies fitting too tightly into their Straumann RC implants. So tight that when trying to remove the scan body from the implant, the top of the scan body separated from the body of the scan body. I assumed this was a bad lot. I let Dentsply know about this several different times. I now check all the Dentsply scan bodies in a lab analog before sending them out. The issue still exists. The last one they just sent me doesn't fully seat in my Straumann RC lab analog until I tighten it down with the screw. The scan body then is very hard to remove from my lab analog. I'm obviously not supplying these to my doctors anymore. I am just putting this out there to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
