Average 15 minuets. Luke knows Uncle Hank.
This mill is not really practical for a laboratory. There are cheaper alternatives.

Would love to hear about those.

''The milling properties of Rosetta® SM allows dental
restorations to be created about 20% faster than
our competitors, thus increasing the lifecycle of milling tools.''

I'm wrong again. I wonder how popular this solution is.

It seems to be an expensive way to do emax unless you are milling an arch worth of crowns or all the same shade. I'll stuck with the blocks.

e4d machine for sale 2009 model. It is In a dentist office now, they have milled approximately 200 units per year. They do not want to mill in house anymore, time better spent doing dentistry and not lab work. Anyways, if you were to get one of these machines for $15-20,000 would it be worth it to have it in your lab for the occasional rush emax that needed to be milled the same day and not have to wait for the wax and press or outsource time of 2-3 days?

Can the e4d mill files from a 3shape scanner? IS there a license fee associated with using the e4d machine to mill, from either planamerica or 3shape?

its unpredictable. every time i called support about this they only said remill it because it happens sometimes and is a known bug. you'll have to ask e4d what else can be done in it.

HOw often is sometimes? and what caused it? What would you thing would be a good price for an e4d machine to be used as an occasional rush emax milling machine. What else can be milled in an e4d? wax?
Besides emax you can mill Empress CAD, Lava ultimate, Telio CAD PMMA, acrylic, and some composites from 3M.
The burs are diamond coated, I don't think you will have much luck milling wax with it. Haven't found any aftermarket burs for E4D. The CAM is closed. Job Server that Luke mentioned is not perfected, has weird bugs in it sometimes. Do not pay 20k for a used one. Sometimes you can find an old beater on eBay for less than 8k. It is a can of worms you don't want to open unless you have a service agreement with E4D. My $.02

they are already nearly double the price of the usual blocks, forcing you to buy more is dirty and underhanded and probably right on.
